Fake or Unreal Nearsightedness (假性近視)
Fake or Unreal Nearsightedness (假性近視)
Pseudo-Myopia (Pseudo = not real, Myopia = nearsightedness) is sometimes found in those who have diabetes, but very commonly found in young children. Pseudo-Myopia can co-exist with the real myopia and often easily mistreated as the real myopia.
Unlike the real myopia, a patient can recover from pseudo-myopia if the root cause is properly treated. To learn more, check out our Patient Resource Center.
Be aware of Pseudo-Myopia, especially the young children. Often times, it is associated with their eye focusing and teaming issues. Most importantly, DO NOT neglect their routine eye exams.

Driving Tips
There are 3 entrances in Durham Center. All 3 entrances are accessible to Infinity Eye Center (suite 203B).
Entrance 1 is at the intersection of Ethel Road and Talmadge Road, right across the street from Bank of America.
Entrance 2 is at the intersection of Talmadge Road and Brunswick Ave, right next to Xtreme Fitness.
Entrance 3 is at the intersection of New Durham Road and Reading Road, right between Fairfield Inn and Chase Bank, behind Walgreens.
